In today’s digital age, everyone has a voice and something to say. Your customers are no different and whether you like or not, they are utilizing social networks to make their voices heard; especially when it comes to sharing and recommending businesses.
Last week, Noozhawk contributor Justin Soenke offered some insight into common small business branding mistakes, including failing to capitalize on word-of-mouth marketing like recommendations.
Your customers want to share their experiences with you, both good and bad. Customers are your champions and biggest supporters. Encourage them to share their experience with you and other customers by leaving recommendations or reviews, and then commend them for it or offer them a discount or special offer based on their review. Use those reviews to create testimonials in your lead generation.
Even a bad review can be a good thing. If you have the chance to turn a bad review around, do it! While your customer may initially be upset, correcting a mistake or turning an experience around gives them the opportunity to change their attitude about your company and become one of your biggest supporters. When a small business can convert the bad to good, they’ve increased their odds of new and returning customers.
